ViewWave

ViewWave is a simple viewer for strong motion acceleration records. ViewWave reads strong motion data files and shows acceleration waveforms. Velocity and displacement waveforms, Fourier spectra, and response spectra can be computed and displayed.

  • Version 2.0.2 has been released on October 30, 2015.
    • A serious bug was fixed.
  • Version 2.0.1 has been released on October 27, 2015.
  • Version 2.00 has been released on September 25, 2015.
  • Version 1.58 has been released on January 7, 2014.
    • DLL for numerical calculation was replaced. Calculation in the new DLL (catfishdll64.dll) is made with double precision.
  • Installer of version 1.57 was replaced on April 16, 2013. Previous version might contain the Japanese version of ViewWave. Now it will be ok.
  • Version 1.57 has been released on February 20, 2013.
    • DLL for numerical calculation was replaced. New DLL (catfishdll2.dll) located in the application folder.
    • Some modifications were made, but I can't remember those...
    • File size of the installer was reduced. I excluded some run-time libraries (DLLs and OCXs) that will come with Windows from the installation package. If you have problems, please tell me.
    • I will resume maintenance of ViewWave.
  • Version 1.56 has been released on September 2, 2009.
    • This version can plot grid lines. Try [Ctrl]+[G].
    • This version supports new file formats of CV-373 and CV-374 manufactured by Tokyo Sokushin Co. Ltd.
  • ViewWave has a bug on calculation of JMA seismic intensity. To fix it, replace the dynamic link library (catfishdll.dll) located in C:\Windows\system32.
